Styling Thrifted Clothes

Learning about the world of thrift shopping has got me to control shopping for clothes at the mall. The thing I love most about it is when you stumble upon one of a kind pieces which you can add to your wardrobe to experiment or as a permanent piece. I've accumulated a couple of clothes from the thrift shop and I wanted to try and style them with thrifted pieces alike and some other clothes in my closet. I managed to create 4 looks and I want to share them with you.

LOOK 1:
Thrifted top - Php 60
H&M skirt

The top is thrifted and was worht Php 60. It's sheer and glittery, perfect for night outs with friends and for going to parties. This isn't something I'd usually wear but it's something I wanted to try. I haven't had the chance to wear this out yet. The skirt is from H&M but I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of similar styles that you can find in your local thrift store.

LOOK 2:
Thrifted Marks & Spencer polo - Php 110
Cotton On skirt

The top may be familiar for some of you as I got it from Tagaytay and posted about it in a previous blog post. I haven't use this yet since it really looks huge on me. Although I think this will be perfect for rainy days and staying indoors with a hot cup of cocoa. The skirt is one of my favorite pieces in my closet as it's a necessity and can go with almost any top.

LOOK 3:
Denim jacket (as a top) - Php 150
Zara Woman jeans - Php 105

An all-denim outfit is something I wouldn't wear in public but as I look at the different pieces that I got from the thrift store, these two had the same shade. Since a lot of people are doing the all-denim look, I thought, why not? So I put this outfit together just like how Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake made an iconic moment last 2001. I really love the jeans since the bottom areas are flared outwards and definitely makes a statement.

LOOK 4:
The North Face cap
Thrifted Yonex top - Php 60
Thrifted Lucky yy denim jacket - Php 230-250

This last look is just something I'd wear for a really chill day out with the family. The denim jacket is also something that I got from Tagaytay. This is my favorite denim jacket out of the numerous denim jackets that I own. The Yonex top is easily one of my favorites as well.

I hope you enjoyed this little blog post! I don't usually post about fashion but I really enjoy thrifting so I just thought I'd share it in my blog. If you have your favorite thrift shops in the Philippines, please comment below! I'd love to do more exploring. ☺
