RA & Gowoori Brand Launch (Philippines)

Over a month ago, a Korean skincare brand was launched in the Philippines. The brand RA&Gowoori is a brand that has been present in the Korean market for years already. If you’re interested to read more about the story of the brand, my friend Patricia wrote a blog entry similar to this and she also shared her knowledge about the brand which is really interesting! It was also discussed in the event when the company president, Mr. Lee Eung-Kwan, shared the journey of the brand and how it all came to the day where they launched it here in the country thanks to Mrs. Melissa Lee and Mr. Lee Sang In.

They have the basic necessities in starting a skincare routine for someone fairly new to the whole game. They showcased different variants of their cleansers, a peeling gel for exfoliating, two types of toner, and two different moisturizers. I’ll be talking about these items and a quick preview about them so keep on reading!

Before I talk about the products, here’s a quick rundown with what happened during the launch and how I got invited to the event:

A few weeks before the said event, I was blessed to have the opportunity of designing the event’s layout. It was such a pleasure working with people who were so generous and really loved what they were doing. I worked closely with the brand manager and a friend of mine and current editor for the brand, Patricia Magno. (She actually referred me to them, huhu! From blogger friends to two broke girls!) Though the final design went through revisions here and there, I’m glad I was able to work with these people and was able to produce such work. Other than to make sure that the set looked a-okay, we were invited by Mrs. Melissa Lee herself to attend the brand launch.

The event was packed with content creators from different social media platforms. We were joined with remarkable people such as Anna Cay, Isha Borromeo, and a lot more. Everywhere I turned, there were familiar places that I’m used to seeing from the screen of my laptop, hahaha! It felt so cool to see them in the flesh. PatriciaElaine, and I basically spent the whole afternoon together. The food was superb and we had to go back for a few more rounds, seriously.

As for the highlight of the evening, the launch proper, Mr. Lee Eung-Kwan shared the brand’s story to all of us. Mrs. Melissa Lee also shared a few words of appreciation and her vision for the brand as well. It was such an inspiring speech as she shared her thoughts about how she’s always wanted to have a brainchild that will also benefit the people around her. She’s truly an inspiring person.

The brand formally introduced products to the Philippine market. They’ve established basics when it comes to skincare: cleanser, exfoliator, toner, and moisturizer. With their tagline “Kbeauty simply made straightforward”, no doubt that their products truly cater to the people who are both starting and venturing out in the Korean skincare andbeauty world. I, myself, have used a product of theirs for months already. I’ve been using the Real Kill 9.9 Green Tea Foam Cleanser for months already and it helps treat my skin that well-deserved love together with the other products I’m currently using. I’m glad that they included this product in the loot bag that they gave us. Speaking of the loot bag, here’s a quick preview of what I got:

  • Real Kill 9.9 Green Tea Foam Cleanser - A variant of their cleansers, this one is best for oily and acne prone skin. It keeps pimples at bay and helps with the redness. To use this, you need to put a small amount of the cleanser on your hands and bubble it up by rubbing it with a few dabs of water. Once it’s all bubbled up, you can spread it on your face and gently rub it all over. It’s best to rinse this with warm water.
  • Real Kill 9.9 Honeylemon Peeling Gel - An exfoliator, this can be used once to thrice a week, depending on your skin. All you need to do is put the right amount on your fingertips and gently spread it all over the face. Once that’s done, you can gently rub it off until you feel the dead skin cells form and rinse with water.
  • Real Kill 9.9 Charcoal Foam Cleanser - This is another variant of their cleansers. This variant is best for oily skin. It also has properties that help keep pimples at bay and also helps tightens the pores.
  • Real Kill 9.9 Sun Block - This is a sun block that has a make up base, nifty, right? This has 50 SPF/PA+++ which protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. Best applied 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure.
  • Real Kill 9.9 Horse Oil Cream - This is a moisturizing cream and it is their bestselling product. This is not any moisturizer as it gives a brightening effect when used religiously. This will give you that natural glow that we’re all yearning for.
  • Real Kill 9.9 Whitening Cream - Another variant for their moisturizers. This one instantly gives a whitening effect which is why a lot of the customers also use this as a makeup base to achieve that glass skin. This also has anti-aging benefits.
  • Real Kill 99 Whitening Toner - Fairly new to their skincare line, this is another variant from two of their toners. The other one is collagen, while this is especially made for whitening.

If you’re interested to buy some of these products, I’d like to invite you to where it all started: the Facebook group called SaeliYuriMelissaLee’s All About Korean Cosmetics and Skincare. This is where you can buy RA&Gowoori items and also find out where you can buy them near you. There are a lot of resellers and distributors of RA&Gowoori  nationwide. I suggest you join this group and get some perks with the giveaways as well!
