Playing with Portraits

One of my new year’s resolutions is to practice portraiture. I’ve always wanted to try taking photos of people. It’s a rare occasion for me to shoot people unless it’s for their profile picture on Facebook or a group photo for their Instagram account. I’m glad that I was able to practice and know my “capability” when it comes to portraiture last January 31st.

I met up with my friend Tin and did some catching up since it’s been a while when we last saw each other. We spent the day eating pasta, exchanging stories, and having a quick visit at a local museum.

We managed to produce these photos which I think look okay. Some photos, I’m proud of, while the others are kind of plain. I still have a lot to learn but so far I’m having a lot of fun practicing a genre of photography I’m not really familiar with. I also tried something new and edited the photos in a way that I haven’t done before, and that is by sketching on them. Not really sure if I like them better with the weird or edits but it’s something new so why not share it!

If you’re a photographer, stylist, makeup artist, or just a human who wants to collaborate or hang out, please don’t hesitate to message me. I’d love to work with you and learn from you!
